About us

History

The Greywater Alliance formed in June at the Next Generation Water Summit. We’re starting off with a great group of installers, designers, regulators, water conservation staff, and manufacturers. This year we’re reaching out to people working with greywater from across the country to join our new network.

Leadership Team

Charlie Alcorn

Charlie Alcorn is a Program Manager at Watershed Management Group where he oversees WMG’s community education and project work in the Phoenix Valley, as well as projects in Tucson, Arizona.

Lauren Forbes

Lauren is motivated by finding integrated solutions that meet multiple needs. Lauren began navigating the complexities around rainwater and greywater to balance human needs, financial goals, and water-energy concerns inside her own home. This began a multi-year journey to become a certified designer and launch Cactus Rain LLC so she could help others achieve their water security and sustainability goals, too.

Regina Hirsch

Regina Hirsch is dedicated to bringing appropriate best management solutions to the public. She founded Watershed Progressive, the consulting/contracting firm which focuses on onsite water best management practices aimed at rehydrating watersheds.  Since 2009, Watershed Progressive has helped design and install projects that restore habitat and increase watershed hydrologic recharge through water conservation and re-use.

Leigh Jerrard

Leigh is the principal of Greywater Corps, a company that designs, installs, and teaches about greywater irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems as a response to climate-driven water shortages.  Leigh and his team are the boots on the ground, doing the physical work required to shift Southern California towards a resilient, egalitarian, and abundant future.

Doug is a lifetime American Rainwater Catchment System Association (ARCSA) member, an Accredited Professional and an ex-Board member of ARCSA. He is a prolific writer and his articles have appeared in The New York Times, Water Efficiency Magazine, Home Power, Taos News and Water News, among others.
